Kachia Local Government Area is located in the southern region of Kaduna State, Nigeria. The administrative headquarters is Kachia town.
The area is home to several ethnic communities including the Adara (Kadara) people, Gbagyi, Hausa, and Fulani, each contributing to the region's cultural diversity.
Agriculture is the dominant economic activity, with crops such as maize, ginger, millet, sorghum, and groundnuts cultivated across the LGA.
